Robbs Jetty was a closed station on the Fremantle Line, it was located next to Robbs Jetty.
In the early twentieth century Robbs Jetty was an junction for a number of railway lines - see List of railways constructed by the Public Works Department of Western Australia and the siding was also an important part of the supply of animals to the Robbs Jetty abbatoir meatworks.
South Fremantle is a suburb of Perth, Western Australia, located within the City of Fremantle.
The first development in the area may have been when Richard Goldsmith Meares who established a lime burning kiln in 1831.
Meares had arrived at the Swan River Colony with Thomas Peel in the previous year.
As the area was adjacent to the relatively safe harbour of Owen's Anchorage in Cockburn Sound, the area began to be used as an alternative destination point for ship arrivals.
