HMS Ipswich was a 70-gun third rate ship of the line of the Royal Navy, launched at Harwich on 19 April 1694.
She was rebuilt at Portsmouth according to the 1719 Establishment, relaunching on 30 October 1730.
Ipswich was hulked in 1757, and broken up in 1764.
The Royal Navy of the United Kingdom is the oldest of HM Armed Forces (and is therefore known as the Senior Service).
