Snooker world rankings 2007/2008: The official world ranking points for the 96 professional snooker players in the 2007/2008 season are listed below.
The total points from the seasons 2006/2007 and 2007/2008 were used to determine the rankings for the season 2008/2009.
The snooker world rankings are the official system of ranking professional snooker players to determine automatic qualification and seeding for tournaments.
They are maintained by the sport's governing body, the WPBSA.
As of 17 July 2010, the number one-ranked player is John Higgins, although on May 2 2010 the World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association suspended him from tournament play, pending an investigation into match fixing allegations made by the News of the World tabloid newspaper.
